<h2>Synopsis</h2> <p>In contemporary Ethiopia, a farming community’s exodus is disrupted when the patriarch of a prominent family disappears from his grave. Tessema, his son, begins to question the church’s divine explanation, forcing him to launch his own investigation.</p> <h2>About the Director</h2> <p>Beza Hailu Lemma is an Ethiopian filmmaker based in Addis Ababa. He has written, directed, and independently produced factual TV content and several short films, including Ballad of the Spirits (2017), Adey Abeba (2019), and Katanga Nation (2022), the latter of which was screened in competition at Visions du Réel. Beza was an artist in residence at Bundanon in Australia (2017) and the Realness Screen Writing Residency (2019). He has also participated in Berlinale Talents, TIFF Filmmakers Lab, L’Atelier in Cannes, and Produire au Sud.</p>
