paradise

Tobias Rehberger’s photo journal documents his explorations within the abandoned hotel Paradiso in Val Martello, Switzerland, which was designed in the 1930s by Gio Ponti, and which has succumbed to vandalism and deterioration since its closure. Using black and white photography, Rehberger captures the hotel’s myriad textures—crumbling plaster, broken tiles, and accreted piles of debris—always lit by the heavenly glow of sunlight outside its broken windows.
