Here, with her wry eye and play on circumnavigating socio-cultural expectations, Silvina Arismendi focuses upon the body of the environment rather than that of the bodies expected to inhabit it. In a single gesture, the artist reveals a most amusing method to “go against the grain” of predominating notions of interpretation.</p>
