The Economy is Spinning

Decapitation, Capital and the Future where A.I. is the Only Poet Left
Sara Giannini in conversation with Kris Dittel

Sara Giannini: Dear Kris, first I would like to thank you for participating to Unfold as our third guest curator with The Economy is Spinning, a multi-faceted curatorial project on the language of finance and its irrationality. Your Unfold#3 is in fact connected to the exhibition of the same name you have just curated for Onomatopee in Eindhoven and which, as is the case with all Onomatopee’s projects, will also produce a publication. In this configuration each of the three elements have their own attributes: the physical encounter with artworks in the exhibition space; the online folders with materials that serve to contextualize and offer a broader reading into the scope of the project and research. Finally the materiality of a book that will transform the research and the exhibition into a set of commissioned essays and artists’ contributions. The folders also contain additional new commissions by artists and writers that aim to establish a direct connection with the exhibition…
